Five Must "Like" Pages on Facebook

Five Pages You Must "Like" on Facebook

Actually, a better title would be "Five of my favorite non-real estate pages you need to "like" on Facebook." Since I am addicted to Facebook, you can read that to mean: one, I have more than five pages that I like and  two, I have a whole list of real estate pages that I'll save for another day.

So... let's get to it...

1. CRUSH IT!

This page is based on the book by Gary Vaynerchuk, so aptly titled, CRUSH IT! The book is an awesome read - about finding your passion and then living out that dream. The Crush It! Facebook page has video, links, testimonials, tips and motivational tidbits. Gary is truly living his passion and the emotion almost jumps off this page!

2. Productivity Junkies

The name probably gives the page and the matching web site away - tips and tricks on being productive. What can you do to increase your performance? This page will give you practical, real life examples, tips and tricks.

3. The Rise To The Top

This page is based on a TV show out of St Louis. The show creator interviews a wide variety of people, from the CEO of Zappos to the creator of the DODOcase. ALWAYS informative - I have yet to have a day when I do not pick up a tip or have an idea sparked from visiting this page and the cooresponding web site.

4. Deal Seeking Mom

(Or Dad)... Deal Seeking Mom keeps me in the loop on coupons, Internet codes, in store deals and more. You will save money by becoming a fan, following this page and taking their advice.

5. MDCOnline

The Missouri Department of Conservation has a wonderful Facebook page chock full of information on Missouri conservation laws, important dates, permit guidelines and more. The page photos are also worth checking out  -- if you're in a major city, let this site bring a little rural living into your day!

Do you have a top five for Facebook?  I'd love to visit pages you "like" ---

Phillipsburg MO "Share Day" Saturday September 18th

Phillipsburg MO

Family Share Day in Phillipsburg MO - Saturday September 18th

The Empowering Women Mission Project will have their next Family Share Day on Saturday September 18th, 2010. Doors open at 8:30 am. This event will be held in the fellowship hall of the Phillipsburg United Methodist Church in Phillipsburg MO.

Family Share Day is similar to a very large garage sale - except - all items are FREE. Clothing, household items, toys, books, etc will be available to the community. Everyone is invited to come and "shop" for their family. Membership in the Phillipsbug United Methodist Church is NOT required; no proof of need required.

Sandy Sipes is the coordinator of the Empowering Women Project in central Missouri. In addition to the Family Share Day, Sandy meets weekly with other women dedicated to assisting their communities. They assist women and connect women with resources in the community, such as The Cope House, the Free Store, the Phillipsburg Food Pantry and the Conway Food Pantry.

Any items used in a household setting, especially kitchen utensils, sheets/blankets, clothing and baby items are greatly appreciated. In years past, the Family Share Day has provided shoes, coats, bedding, books, TV's, radios, towels, book bags and so much more! Please bring items that are clean and that you would take home if needed - there is no way to dispose of broken items at the church.

Donations of items may be brought to the church from 4 pm until 5:30 pm on Tuesday September 14th. You may call Sandy to arrange a different drop off time if September 14th does not work for you. Or if you are in Lebanon and Laclede County; Marshfield and Webster County; or Buffalo and Dallas County, call Sandy at 417-589-3113 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              417-589-3113      end_of_the_skype_highlighting to arrange a time for someone to pick up your items.

** Please do not leave items outside the church.
